Taskaid vs Taskade
Taskade and Taskaid are different products, built by different companies. The names sound almost the same, which is the only reason this page exists.
If you came looking for Taskade, the workspace with projects, mind maps and AI agents, it's at taskade.com. Nothing below is an argument to use us instead. The two do different jobs, and most of the confusion between them is a spelling problem rather than a choice anyone has to make.
What each one is
Taskade
A workspace you share with other people. A project holds to-dos, outlines, documents and mind maps, and the same project can be read as a list, a board, a table, a calendar, a mind map, an org chart or a Gantt chart. On top of that it builds things: AI agents trained on your own documents, automated workflows reaching more than a hundred connected apps, and whole applications generated from a prompt. Plans are priced around a team, and there is a free one.
Taskaid
A task list for one person, meant to be worked from inside the assistant you already have open. A task has a name, a note, one date, a list, a star and a time estimate. That's the entire model. There are no shared projects, no assignees, no views to arrange and nothing to build. The app is a quiet place to see what you told your assistant, not somewhere you spend the day.
One is somewhere to build. The other is somewhere for work to land.
Both run an MCP server
This is where the names can actually cost you something. Taskade and Taskaid both connect to Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients, so it's possible to wire up the wrong one and wonder why your tasks aren't there.
Taskade's server is at www.taskade.com/mcp and reaches your workspace, projects and agents. It's included on paid Taskade plans. Taskaid's is at taskaid.ai/mcp and reaches your tasks, lists and daily plan. Check the domain, not the name.
Who each is for
Taskade
- You work with other people and the work has to be shared.
- You want the same project as a board, a calendar and a mind map, and you want to arrange it yourself.
- You want to build agents, automations or an internal app on top of your work.
- You want a free plan. Taskaid doesn't have one.
Taskaid
- You're one person with one set of commitments, and nobody else needs to see the list.
- Most of your thinking already happens in ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor, and you'd rather not open a task app at all.
- You want less to manage, not more to configure.
There is nothing to switch
A comparison usually closes by saying when to move. This one can't. Taskade is a workspace for a team and a place to build software. Taskaid is a personal task list that lives inside an assistant. If you need what Taskade does, no amount of Taskaid will cover it, and the same holds the other way round. Using both is a perfectly sensible answer.
