Open tasks in assistants
A task's Open menu starts a chat about it in your assistant, or copies it as a prompt.
- Open on a task's page starts a chat about the task in ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor.
- The chat names the task by its reference, such as
TASKAID-45, so the assistant needs Taskaid connected. - Copy as prompt copies the task's name and note instead, for any assistant.
Picking a task up in an assistant meant copying its reference into a new chat and saying what you wanted. The Open menu on a task's page writes that first message for you, in whichever assistant you choose.
The chat carries the reference and not the note, so the assistant starts from the task as it is now, and anything it saves lands on the same task. Where Taskaid isn't connected, the copied prompt brings the task along, reference included, so you can paste it anywhere.
